The Centre for Environment and Sustainable Development is a non government organization established in 1995 to focus on issues concerning sustainable forest management, environmental conservation and socio-economic development of forest dwelling rural communities.

Its main aim is to work for sustainable development based on ecological security and environmental cleanliness. The Centre undertakes activities related to research, capacity building and development action on these issues. The Centre has a team of dedicated professionals hailing from multidisciplinary fields to work in diverse areas.
